#013 The Importance of Emotional Stability as a Coach

Dec 29, 2021

Creating safe spaces for our coaches requires us to be aware of our own emotions and know how to regulate ourselves and stay grounded to do the work we do as coaches.   Understanding the energy you bring into the coaching space is a key skills in coaching, as is having the skills and approaches to change and shift your energy. In this episode, we'll be talking about the importance of emotional stability and some effective ways to maintain a healthy dynamic in your coaching relationship.

What you will learn in this episode:

  • What your ethical responsibilities as a coach are
  • The importance of being emotionally stable as a coach
  • How an energy exchange can interfere with your coaching relationship
  • The big difference between sharing resolved and unresolved experiences

In a coaching session, clients will pick up on the emotions in the room (Virtual ones too!) and so the energy you bring into the coaching space has the power to influence your clients in a positive or negative way. It is our responsibilities as coaches to nurture our coaches mindset so we can show up for our clients grounded and whole.
